That's an infinite list. 81, 83, 85, 87, 89, 91 and so on.
82 83 84 85 86 87 88 89 90 91 92 93 94 95 96 97 98 99 100
89 97 101 103.
Kid gets 80%, 97%, and a 85% on his math tests. 80+97+85=262 divide that by total number of tests, 3, answer is 87 1/3%
86-87: 83.3% 87-88: 87.7% 88-89: 90.1% 89-90: 88.8% 90-91: 95.2% 91-92: 94.7% 92-93: 94.8% 93-94: 88.8% 94-95: 91.4% 95-96: 100% 96-97: 90.6% 97-98: 84.5% That's an average of 90.4%
93
The median is (89 + 91)/2 = 90
That's an infinite list. 81, 83, 85, 87, 89, 91 and so on.
Here they are ! 84. 85. 86. 87. 88. 89. 90. 91. 92. 93. 94. 95. 96. And 97 !
89 and 97
82 83 84 85 86 87 88 89 90 91 92 93 94 95 96 97 98 99 100
89 97 101 103.
Kid gets 80%, 97%, and a 85% on his math tests. 80+97+85=262 divide that by total number of tests, 3, answer is 87 1/3%
The idea is to sort the numbers, and pick the number in the middle as the median. In cases like this, when you have two numbers in the middle (the size of the set is even), take the average of those two numbers.
24. It is the difference between 97 and 73, the highest and lowest numbers in the set.
86-87: 83.3% 87-88: 87.7% 88-89: 90.1% 89-90: 88.8% 90-91: 95.2% 91-92: 94.7% 92-93: 94.8% 93-94: 88.8% 94-95: 91.4% 95-96: 100% 96-97: 90.6% 97-98: 84.5% That's an average of 90.4%
98. Then 97, 96, ... , 90, 89, 87 (skip 88).
