15 MILES
Out of curiousity yesterday I wore a pedometer all day and totalled 5.5 miles.
Ah, obviously it depends on how tall or fit the person is - or even if they are walking with someone else. On average, a person walks comfortably at approximately 5 km per hour. :)
Average walking speed for an adult is around 4 miles per hour.

The number of days it would take to walk 700 miles depends on the daily walking distance. If a person walks an average of 20 miles per day, it would take approximately 35 days to cover 700 miles. Walking 10 miles a day would take about 70 days. Individual pace and walking conditions can affect these estimates.

A camel's average speed when walking is about three miles an hour. They don't travel much, however, only getting around 25 miles per day.

The time it takes to walk 750 miles depends on your walking speed and daily walking duration. If you walk at an average speed of 3 miles per hour and walk for 8 hours a day, it would take approximately 31 days to complete the distance. If walking for fewer hours each day or at a slower pace, the time will increase accordingly.
You are walking an average of 3.3 miles per hour over the 1 mile distance.

The distance between Sparta and Argos is approximately 40 kilometers (about 25 miles). Assuming an average walking speed of 5 kilometers per hour and walking for about 8 hours a day, it would take around one day to complete the journey. However, if you factor in breaks and the terrain, it could realistically take about 1 to 2 days to walk this distance comfortably.
The energy expenditure for walking depends on factors like speed, weight, and distance traveled. On average, a person uses about 0.2 to 0.3 calories per kilogram of body weight per minute when walking at a moderate pace. This can be converted to approximately 0.84 to 1.26 Joules per kilogram of body weight per minute.
The average person can walk about 3 to 4 miles per hour, which translates to roughly 15 to 20 miles in a day, depending on factors like fitness level, terrain, and walking duration. For a leisurely pace, many people might comfortably cover 5 to 10 miles in a day. However, experienced hikers or those on long walks might exceed this distance. Ultimately, individual capacity will vary based on personal stamina and conditions.
Average walking speed is between 4 and 6 km per hour. Assume a well-trained walker makes 5km per hour (less on incline). Assume eight hours walking per day: 8 hours * 5 km/hour = 40 km per day. Note this is very ambitious, expecially when continued over 510km / 40 km/day = 13 days. I'd imagine covering a 510km distance should take 16 days at least, assuming no steep mountains en route.
