The circumference is pi times the diameter (pi x D).
This is pi x (2r) because the radius is one-half of the diameter.

pi (2r) = pi (12) = 37.699 rounds to 37.70

the circumference formula for circle is:2 times pi times the radius, so you multiply 2*pi*6 = 12*pi, or approx 37.68
