Circumference: 0.75 times pi = 2.356 inches rounded to three decimal places
An American penny's diameter is 19.05mm. The formula for the circumference of a circle is C = π * d. Using π ≈ 3.14 gives a circumference of 59.82 mm or 5.982 cm.
The formula for the circumference of a circle is 2.pi.r where r= the radius, since the diameter is 2.r (two times the radius),the circumference will be pi.diameter. pi=3.14159... so for a diameter of 34mm the circumference=pi.34=106.8mm
Circumference = 2pi*r Circumference = 86pi

To find the density of a penny, you would measure its mass using a scale, then measure its volume by water displacement or using a caliper to measure its dimensions. Divide the mass by the volume to calculate the density of the penny.
Measure the diameter of a penny, convert to meters, and divide the circumference of Earth (which is about 40 million meters) by this value.
A circumference is 4
No. It is circumference/(2*pi)No. It is circumference/(2*pi)No. It is circumference/(2*pi)No. It is circumference/(2*pi)
The Australian Halfpenny was issued with two basic reverse designs.The earlier design1911 to 1939 - reverse legend reads "COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA" around the circumference and "ONE HALF PENNY" in the centre. The year is at the bottom.If the coin has a mintmark at all, it will be an "H" or an "I" below the middle "N" in PENNY. "H" indicates the Heaton Mint in Birmingham, "I" indicates the Calcutta Mint in India.All Australian Halfpennies minted from 1911 to 1918, if they have no mintmark, were minted at the Royal Mint London.All 1912 and 1915, and some 1914 Halfpennies were minted at the Heaton Mint, Birmingham.All 1916 to 1918 Halfpennies were minted at the Calcutta Mint, India.All other Halfpennies were minted at either the Melbourne or Sydney Mints and have no mintmark.The later design1939 to 1964 - reverse legend reads "AUSTRALIA" around the circumference at the top and "HALF PENNY" around the circumference at the bottom. These coins feature the right facing hopping kangaroo. The year is below the kangaroo and slightly left of centre.Halfpennies with no mintmark were minted at the Melbourne Mint.Halfpennies with a dot "." after the "Y" in PENNY (PENNY.) were minted at the Perth Mint.Halfpennies with a dot "." after the "A" in AUSTRALIA (AUSTRALIA.) were minted at the Perth Mint (1952 and 1953 only).Halfpennies with a very small "PL" after the "Y" in PENNY (PENNY PL) were minted at the Royal Mint London (1951 only).Halfpennies with a very small "I" after the "Y" in PENNY (PENNY I) were minted at the Bombay Mint, India (1942 and 1943 only).
Other than mintmarks and the year, the Australian 1948 is almost identical to all Australian Pennies minted from 1938 to 1948 inclusive. The legend around the circumference on the obverse reads "GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP." in heavily abbreviated Latin meaning, "George VI, by the grace of god, king of all the British territories, defender of the faith, Emperor of India". The letters "HP" below the bust are the initials of the designer, Thomas Humphrey Paget. The reverse has "AUSTRALIA" around the circumference at the top, and "PENNY" around the circumference at the bottom. There is a left facing hopping kangaroo centrally located with the Commonwealth Star below the kangaroos head and the date is below the kangaroos tail. The letters "KG" below the kangaroos tail are the initials of the designer, George Kruger Gray. 1948 Pennies minted in Melbourne have no mintmark. 1948 Pennies minted in Perth have a "." after "Y" in PENNY (PENNY.) as a mintmark.
