Hypothesis and Predictions give us information about a subject matter but have different meanings. According to the Wordweb dictionary:
Hypothesis
1. A proposal intended to explain certain facts or observations
2. A tentative insight into the natural world; a concept that is not yet verified but that if true would explain certain facts or phenomena
3. A message expressing an opinion based on incomplete evidence
Prediction
1. The act of predicting (as by reasoning about the future)
2. A statement made about the future
So Hypothesis have to do with guessing or suggesting a reasoning that still requires either scientific or any other type of verification, while prediction is an anticipation of future events in which someone forecasts what will soon happen.
Only the occurrence or non-occurrence of the prediction can confirm a prediction whereas Hypothesis may be confirmed and disproved severally based on different scientific probing system.
Simply put, a hypothesis is similar to a prediction, but not identical. A prediction is basically an attempt to "guess" what will happen next. A hypothesis, on the other hand, establishes a relationship, which helps explain what happens. Example of a hypothesis: "If salt is added to water, then it will affect the temperature at which the water boils." This statement is testable, using the amount of salt as the independent variable (or the variable that you change) to find out how it affects the dependent variable (the variable you observe). An example of a prediction is as follows: "If I bet on Secretariat today, I'm going to win a million dollars."
A hypothesis has the potential to be correct or incorrect and still be called a hypothesis, whereas a prediction must end up being correct in order to be called a prediction. A hypothesis can most definitely be seen as a prediction, if you are correct. If not, it was just a hypothesis, theory, or educated guess that was wrong.

A hypothesis is a statement of intention to perform a test to determine the amount of association, or not, between two items.
A hypothesis might be " does it rain more commonly around full moon, or not?"
A prediction should be based upon sound evidence and past experience.
A prediction may be "In general it will be colder just after mid-winters day, than before it?"
The difference is that working hypothesis is that your still working on it but the hypothesis that your not working on it.
A scientific hypothesis has to be testable.
Hypothesis is singular, while Hypotheses is the plural of Hypothesis.
An Observation is an account of what actually happened whilst a Hypothesis is what you think will happen
A hypothesis is a suggestion of a way to explain something. If the hypothesis is tested and confirmed, it can advance to the status of theory. The conclusion of testing a hypothesis will be either that the hypothesis is confirmed, or it is not confirmed.
The null hypothesis is the default hypothesis. It is the hypothesis that there is no difference between the control group and the treatment group. The research hypothesis proposes that there is a significant difference between the control group and the treatment group.
The difference is that working hypothesis is that your still working on it but the hypothesis that your not working on it.

Basically you are predicting
Hypothesis mean a smart guess by logic and reasoning; hypothesis are predicting in doing experiment.
