In a parallelogram, both pairs of opposite sides are parallel and equal.

In a trapezoid (UK trapezium), only one set of sides is parallel, and the sides may all have unequal lengths, or two sides may have equal length with equal and opposite angles (this is routinely called an isosceles trapezoid).
