A ratio is a set of numbers, each of which represents the proportion or size of a variable with respect to the other values. For example, a ratio of 3:2 means that for every 3 parts of the first variable, there are two of the second. 6:4 is the same ration as 3:2, as are all other multiples of these numbers.

A unit ratio is a ratio scaled down so that the lower value is 1. The above example of 3:2 would become 1.5:1. A ratio of 9:6:2 would become 4.5:3:1.

Unit Ratio- a ratio that has a denominator of 1

unit rate is a ratio between 2 measurements in which the second term is 1.

1

A ratio is the comparison between two numbers with the same unit. For example 3 oranges to two oranges. On the other hand, a rate is an indication of the measurements of different units per unit. For example, the statement 3 oranges/ person shows the relationship between the measurement of oranges per person.the rate of something is the amount or speed of it, whereas the ratio is the proportion of one thing to another, like for example if there was 15 sweets in a bag; 10 red and 5 blue, so the ratio of red sweets to blue would be 2 to 1. Hertz (Hz) means the unit of cycles per second (1/T). It has to do with the frequency.Decibel (dB) is a logarithmic unit of measurement that expresses the magnitude of a physical quantity.Since it is a ratio of two quantities with the same unit, it is a dimensionless unit. Both have nothing to do with each other. It is totally different, like cars and bananas.Decibels is a ratio and hertz means cycles per second. The difference is like between bananas and apples.

An odds ratio is the difference between the number of times that something happens and does not happen. An unadjusted odds ratio is a guess between what could or could not happen.

what is the difference

The ratio between two different quantities is the rate.Usually, the second unit is a measure of time.

Unit Ratio- a ratio that has a denominator of 1

Pascal means the pressure = force divided by area. Decibels means a logarithmic unit of measurement that expresses the magnitude of a physical quantity relative to a specified or implied reference level. Since it is a ratio of two quantities with the same unit, it is a dimensionless unit. The difference is like between a car and a banana.
