The digital divide is a name for the disparity between two populations on our planet. On one side you have people who had access to digital technology and are benefiting from it (e.g. exposure to forgein ideas). But on the other side are those would either dont have acces to digital technologies, or are not benefiting from it in a positive way (e.g. a poor student in Cambodia visits a cheap internet cafe but is distracted from his school work by violent Video Games). One way the digital divide has been measured is by ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) density, this measure things like how many phones per person there are in a region or how many have acess to internent.
