It would depend entirely on the shape of the pool.

There are round pools, rectangular pools, heart-shaped pools, and almost any imaginable shape of pool. It would also depend on how the bottom of the pool is constructed. Some pools have equal depths. Some have a shallow end and a deep end. In some the pool becomes gradually deeper, in some it drops sharply.
