if the triangle is isosceles right, then the sides' length are : a , a and b. and you have the Pythagorean theorem : a*a +a*a =b*b

so if you have the length of the longest side (b) then the two other sides' length are a=b/sqrt(2) = 0,707*b (approx)

if you have the length of the 2 same sides (a) then the longest side's length is b=a*sqrt(2) =1,414*a (approx)

What is the difference between a triangle and an isosceles triangle?

An isosceles triangle has to have two sides of equal length. An isosceles triangle has to have two sides of equal length.

What is the length of the sides of an isosceles triangle?

The length of the sides of an isosceles triangle are not set in stone. An isosceles triangle is defined as a triangle with at least two congruent sides. Equilateral triangles; that is, triangles in which all sides are of equal length are also considered to be isosceles triangles. Therefore, as long as at least two sides of the triangle are congruent, (Of equal length) said triangle is an isosceles triangle.

Does an isosceles triangle that the sides are all of different length?

No that triangle is the scalene triangle the isosceles means 2 sides have equal length. :)

How are isosceles triangle and a scalene triangle are different?

An isosceles triangle has two sides that are the same length. A scalene triangle does not have any sides that are the same length.

If you have a right triangle with a hypotnus of 11 what is the size of the leg?

The formula for finding the length of one of the sides of a right angle triangle is a2+b2=c2, with a and b the legs and c the hypoteneus. If the triangle is Isosceles, which means that 2 of its sides are equal, the length of each leg would be aproximately 7.778184593

Is a right triangle an isosceles triangle?

It can be. If two of the sides of a right triangle are the same length then it is an isosceles triangle

What is a isosceles?

An isosceles triangle is a triangle with two sides the same length and one different.

What kind of triangle has at least two sides of equal length?

A triangle with at least two sides of equal length is called an isosceles triangle.

Can some scalene triangle are isosceles triangle?

No, because a scalene triangle is a triangle with no sides the same length. An isosceles triangle is a triangle with two sides the same length and one side different

What is formula of finding the perimeter of a triangle?

Perimeter of a triangle = (length of the first side) plus (length of the second side) plus (length of the third side)

Are all the sides on an isosceles triangle the?

An isosceles triangle has 3 sides 2 of which are equal in length.

What is the third side an isosceles triangle?

An isosceles triangle has 3 sides 2 of which are equal in length
