What is Turbo mode of air conditioner?

If you turn on this mode, your airconditioner will turn on the max settings.

What would cause a home air conditioner and heater to run at the same time when turning on the heater?

IF THIS IS NOT A HEAT PUMP SYSTEM... COULD BE; thermostat connecting(calling for) heat and cool together. connnection problem in wires- or bad thermostat. find wiring diagram for t-stat, read up on checking voltage in thermostat in the heat-or cool mode. they are separate. does t-stat have separate 'heat-cool' mode. in other words- do you have to switch to heat mode-or cool mode. if it is a heat pump--ask again with that stated in question.

Cool mode blower comes on when the heat mode goes off?

it depends if you buy a certain 1

Why is a heat pump able to heat and cool the same building?

A heat pump is an air conditioner working in reverse. When the unit is in cooling mode, it moves heat from the interior to the exterior. When the unit is in heat mode, it moves heat from the exterior to the interior. In most cases, the thermostat controls the necessary components that perform the reversing process necessary to change from heating mode to cooling mode.

What does a heat pump do in your homes?

A heat pump acts as a furnace in heat mode to warm the home in the winter, then acts as an air conditioner in the summer to cool the home.

Can you pump down a heat pump system in heat mode just as you would do in the cool mode?

No, the energy in a heat pump system must be transfered to another heat pump system because the first law of thermodynamics say that energy cannot be created nor destroyed

When you dip your hand in cold water you feel it cold. Can you name the mode of heat transfer and its direction?

This type of heat transfer is called conduction. The transfer is from the warm hand to cool water.

What is the feel mode on my air conditioner do?

This function samples the indoor temperature for 2 minutes and then based on that temperature chooses the mode the unit will operate in. If the temperature in the room is more than 79 degrees it will be set in the Cool mode at 75 degrees. If the room temperature is 77 to 79 it will be set to the Cool mode minus 4 degrees of the current room temperature. If the temperature sensed is 73 to 77 degrees then the unit will be set in the Dry mode minus 4 degrees of the current room temperature. If the room temperature is less than 73 degrees then the unit will be set in the Heat mode. In the "I Feel" mode the temperature display disappears and pressing the "Too Warm" or "Too Cool" button will change the set point by 2-4 degrees.

Why the indoor unit not called evaporator in the heat pump system?

In a heat pump system, the indoor unit is not called the evaporator because it serves a dual function as both the evaporator (during cooling mode) and the condenser (during heating mode). The indoor unit absorbs heat from the indoor air during heating mode and releases it into the indoor space, while it absorbs heat from the indoor space during cooling mode and releases it outside.

How does a heat pump use freon to heat?

In a heat pump system, the refrigerant (such as freon) absorbs heat from the outside air through an evaporator coil. The refrigerant then carries this heat to the indoor unit where it releases the heat through a condenser coil. By reversing the flow of the refrigerant, a heat pump can also cool the indoor space by removing heat from inside and releasing it outside.

What is wrong if your home heat pump system blows hot air fine but won't blow cool air?

If the unit works in the heat mode, then the problem is usually located in the outdoor unit.

What is the dry mode on my air conditioner do?

Dry Mode is a function that will reduce the humidity in the room. In this mode, as the air passes through the air conditioner the humidity will condense on the evaporator so that the air comes out drier. Reducing the humidity makes you feel cooler and more comfortable. Dry mode uses less power than cool mode.
