It depends how big the cube is. I recommend using a measuring tape or ruler .
Ice cubes can flip over in water due to the difference in density between ice and water. As ice begins to melt, the water around it becomes denser and exerts more pressure on the ice cube. This pressure can cause the ice cube to flip over as it melts unevenly.

According to my understanding it is the pressure that gets applied on the measured body by the instrument itself. For excample: If u are measuring a cube with a vernier caliper then there is a chance that a error may occur due to the pressure applied by the teeth of vernier caliper while tightening it..
That depends on which aspect of the cube you are measuring and the size of the cube.. If you are measuring the dimensions, you might use meters. If you are measuring the surface area, you might use square meters. If you are measuring the volume, you might use cubic meters.
