There is no such thing as a medien.

A median of a set of numbers is the middle value when the numbers are placed in ascending (or descending) order.

If there are an odd number [2n - 1 where n is an integer >0], of observations that are ordered, then the median is the nth observation.

If there are an even number [2n where n is an integer >0], of observations, then the median is the arithmetic mean (average) of the nth and (n+1)th observations.
