The bible says that Elizabeth the mother of John the baptist was his aunt.
she is aunt evas sister
Aunt before Sally Addition before subtraction
The ratio of the distances between me and my house, and me and my aunt's house is 2:1 ⇒ there are 2 + 1 = 3 parts to the distance between my house and my aunt's house ⇒ each part is worth the distance between the two houses divided by 3, that is 228 miles ÷ 3 = 76 miles ⇒ I am 2 parts from my house which is 2 x 76 miles = 152 miles & 1 part from my aunt's house which is 1 x 76 miles = 76 miles So if I am on my way to visit my aunt, I have travelled 152 miles from my house; Or if I am on my way home from visiting my aunt, I have travelled 76 miles from my aunt's house;

Aunt Alexandra invites Scout to her missionary circle in an attempt to introduce her to more refined and traditional aspects of being a lady. She hopes that by participating in such activities, Scout will be influenced to adopt more feminine behaviors and conform to societal expectations of women in Maycomb.
Aunt Alexandra hosts a group of church ladies at the Finche's house.:P Hope this helped!
Aunt Alexandra's missionary circle was comprised of the women in Maycomb who were involved in missionary work to help the African tribes in Africa. Some of the members included Mrs. Grace Merriweather, Mrs. Farrow, and Miss Maudie Atkinson.
In To Kill a Mockingbird, Aunt Alexandra says that Walter Cunningham, Jr., cannot come over because he is trash.

You should read the book (it is good), then you could answer all these questions yourself.
Aunt Alexandra was silently thanking Miss Maudie for discreetly diffusing the tension at the Missionary Circle meeting by changing the subject.
Important events for Aunt Alexandra are her Ladies Missionary Club meetings and her Ladies Tea Parties. Aunt Alexandra is a real life "Steel Magnolia", unabashedly proud of the Finch name, determined to maintain their position within the southern aristocracy, and bound and determined to change Scout into a lady whether she wants it or not.
Aunt Alexandra's missionary group is considered hypocritical because they preach about helping and serving others, yet they show judgment and prejudice towards the people they are supposed to be helping. They fail to practice what they preach by engaging in discriminatory behavior and looking down on those they are meant to assist.
Grace Merriweather is one of the women at Aunt Alexandra's missionary. She speaks of J. Everett Grimes and his missionary work with the Mrunas in Africa but is hypocritical for lacking sympathy and kindness.
Well, in the scene where Atticus lets Cal and Aunt Alexandra know that Tom Robinson has died and Scout comments on how Aunt Alexandra acts just fine and like everything's totally normal despite what she's just learned and everything that's happening when she and Scout return to the missionary circle, Scout realizes that the true meaning of being a "lady" is being strong and putting on a good face on no matter what bad things are going on. That's also when Scout gains respect towards Aunt Alexandra and her perspective towards her changes from negative to positive(as well as most readers' perspective does). So I guess the ladies' missionary circle represents society and the true meaning of being a lady, fitting in to what society wants.
