∙ 14y agoVolume of a cylinder = pi*radius2*height
To find the radius make the radius the subject of the above formula:
radius = the square root of (Volume/pi*height)
radius = square root (462/pi*12)
radius = 3.500704303 units
To check that your answer is correct substitute the value of the radius into the original formula and it should work out as 462.

a pool is a cylinder. the volume is the surface area times the depth. the surface area is pi ( 3.14) times the radius squared which in your case is 3.14 x 12 x12 =462 square feet. multiply the depth in feet 4 feet ( you don't fill it right to the top) =1848 cubic feet. there are 8 gallons in a cubic foot of water therefore you need 14,784 gallons of water to fill a 24 by 52 foot round pool
It is: 462 = CDLXII
66 x 7 = 462, so 462 divided by 7 = 66
42
44/(2*pi) = radius = 7.002817496 m Volume = 1/3*pi*7.0028174962*9 = 462.1859547 or about 462 cubic meters
