Those who are skeptics would say Tarot has everything to do with random occurences. Those who believe know that the messages received are from the spirit realm and are not connected. I do tell my clients that some things I see can only be predicted by probabilities because we have free will. For instance, if a question is asked about the future of a relationship, I can tell my client that it is probable that this relationship will lead to marriage. I cannot be 100% sure because either party could have a change of heart at any time. This is where free will comes in. In other types of questions, I can be more precise. In the end, it comes down to our perception and belief system. I have clients that I have been reading for many years and they report that I am highly accurate. If my answers to them were based on random occurences, my accuracy rate would be much lower and my clients would not return to me year after year.

According to Wikipedia: "Randomness is a lack of order, purpose, cause, or predictability. A random process is a repeating process whose outcomes follow no describable deterministic pattern, but follow a probability distribution such that the relative probability of the occurrence of each outcome can be approximated or calculated. For instance, the rolling of a six-sided dice in neutral conditions may be said to produce random results in that one cannot compute before a roll what digit will be landed on, but the probability of landing on any of the six rollable digits can be calculated because of the finite cardinality of the set of possible outcomes. The term is often used in statistics to signify well-defined statistical properties, such as a lack of bias or correlation. Monte Carlo Methods, which rely on random input, are important techniques of computational science.[1] Random selection is an official method to resolve tied elections in some jurisdictions[2], and is even an ancient method of divination, as in tarot, the I Ching, and bibliomancy."
The term "arcana" refers to secrets or mysteries, often associated with esoteric knowledge or hidden truths. It is commonly used in contexts such as tarot cards, where "arcana" distinguishes between major and minor cards, representing significant spiritual lessons or themes. In a broader sense, it can denote any specialized or obscure knowledge in various fields.
The Minor Arcana and Major Arcana are found in a standard tarot deck. The Major Arcana consists of 22 cards that represent significant life themes and spiritual lessons, while the Minor Arcana contains 56 cards divided into four suits (Cups, Pentacles, Swords, and Wands) that focus on everyday events and experiences. Together, they provide a comprehensive tool for divination and introspection.

Tarot is a wonderful guidance tool and can give advice on relationships. In the end, each person must make the decision for themselves. When I do a reading on a relationship, I always stress that each of us has free will, and spirit will tell us if a relationship has a good or less than good chance of success. The Tarot cannot predict 100% that it will last forever.
