This question appears to have been phrased incorrectly as it appears nonsensical.

9x + 117 = 2x + 17 = 2x

There is only one value for x where one could suggest this holds true and that is if x is equal to infinity. Therefore the square root of x will also equal infinity.

If 2x = 2x + 17 then we have to seek a value for x where "adding to it" does not change the value. The only value could be infinity. It is a nonsense to talk of adding to infinity however.

I suspect that this question has been mistyped somehow, but have answered it as written.
