The true value of being a girlfriend is being a loving person and caring person. Even the most macho guy needs to be taken care of once in a while. When you date someone it is to see if they are marriage quality and to figure out if you are made for each other. As a girlfriend it is your job to figure out what your boyfriend likes (and by that I don't mean SEX). I asked my boyfriend what he wanted me to do more often and he said bake him cookies more often, backrubs when he is tired, and showing up to his games on time. Those simple things made him happy. Even though most girls try so hard to make their boyfriends happy, just remember… you can't MAKE someone happy. That is their choice. A girlfriend's job is to understand that guys like sports and not to interrupt when their watching. A girlfriend's job is to understand that they will never have be able to replace her boyfriend's guy friends or the time they spend together… don't worry about it. As long as your boyfriend respects you and loves you then it is your place to keep the relationship going in the direction you want. Because girlfriends whether guys like it or not, have the right to say NO to something and not change our minds.
