What is the value of x in the following equation 6x plus 4 equals 60-2x?

6x + 4 = 60 - 2x

Subtract 4 from each side of the equation:

6x = 56 - 2x

Add 2x to each side:

8x = 56

Divide each side by 8:

x = 7
