The volume of any object is measured in cubic units of length - whatever the shape of the object.

The only thing that might change are the units of length themselves: if you are imperial minded, then the volume of a model pyramid would be measured in cubic inches, that of the Egyptian or Central/South American ones would be in cubic yards. If you are SI minded, then you will prefer cubic centimetres or cubic metres.

A square pyramid has a base with a side that measures 6cm the height of the pyramid is 4cm what is the volume of the pyramid?

The volume of the pyramid is: 48 cm3

If the volume of a prism is 999 square inches what is the volume of a pyramid with the same base?

If the VOLUME is 999 SQUARE inches then you have gone wrong. SQUARE inches are a measure of AREA VOLUME is measured in CUBIC units. Assuming you meant The volume of a prism is 999 CUBIC inches, then the volume of a pyramid with the same height is indeterminate (cannot be given), as there is NO INDICATION of how the height of the pyramid relates to the height of the prism. So, ASSUMING you mean the volume of a prism is 999 CUBIC inches AND the HEIGHT of the pyramid is the same as the height of the prism, then the volume of the pyramid is one third that of the prism, ie 999 cu in ÷ 3 = 333 CUBIC inches.

How do you get the volume of a square pyramid and a triangular pyramid?

The volume for any pyramid = 1/3*base area*perpendicular height

How do you find the perpendicular height of a square based pyramid?

To find the perpendicular height of a square pyramid, first compute for the volume of the pyramid. Then divide the volume by the area of the base to find pyramid's height.

What volume is used for a square pyramid?

volumn of a square pyramid = (1/3)*(base^2)*(height)

Volume of square pyramid height 7 base 5?

The volume of a square pyramid with height 7 and base 5 is 58.33 cubic units.

How do you find volume for a pyramid?

Volume = 1/3*base area*height and measured in cubic units

Is furnace volume measured in square feet or cubic feet?

Any volume is measured in cubic feet, so yes, furnace volume is measured in cubic feet. Square feet is used for linear measurements.

What is the volume of a square pyramid that has a height of 7 and a base of 9?

Volume of a pyramid = 1/3*base area*height

What is the volume of the transamerica pyramid?

6312484.3 square feet

What is the formula for finding the volume of a square pyramid?

This is too general. The following equation is for the volume of a square pyramid, where v= volume, l= length of the base, w= width of the base, and h= height of the pyramid: v=(1/3)*l*w*h In other words, volume=(one divided by three) times length times width times height Volume is measured in "cubic" units. The volume of a figure is the number of cubes required to fill it completely, like blocks in a box. Sorry, but this answer is incorrect. the formula given is that of which for a rectangular pyramid. (learned this today in math )
