Having spent so much purchasing a battery charger which never last, i pinched myself and asked the very fundermental question. "You are studying electrical Electronics Engineering". So i chose to build a strong reliable charger with all the specification and tolerance i really desired. I have been using it for over 10 years now without having to condemn and buy again like the others before.

What does pure and applied math mean?

Broadly speaking, pure mathematics is mathematics that studies entirely abstract concepts. From the eighteenth century onwards, this was a recognized category of mathematical activity, sometimes characterized as speculative mathematics, and at variance with the trend towards meeting the needs of navigation, astronomy, physics, economics, engineering, and so on.Another insightful view put forth is that pure mathematics is not necessarily applied mathematics: it is possible to study abstract entities with respect to their intrinsic nature, and not be concerned with how they manifest in the real world. Even though the pure and applied viewpoints are distinct philosophical positions, in practice there is much overlap in the activity of pure and applied mathematicians. To develop accurate models for describing the real world, many applied mathematicians draw on tools and techniques that are often considered to be "pure" mathematics. On the other hand, many pure mathematicians draw on natural and social phenomena as inspiration for their abstract research.Applied mathematics is a branch of mathematics that concerns itself with mathematical methods that are typically used in science, engineering, business, and industry. Thus, "applied mathematics" is a mathematical science with specialized knowledge. The term "applied mathematics" also describes the professional specialty in which mathematicians work on practical problems; as a profession focused on practical problems, applied mathematics focuses on the formulation and study of mathematical models. In the past, practical applications have motivated the development of mathematical theories, which then became the subject of study in pure mathematics, where mathematics is developed primarily for its own sake. Thus, the activity of applied mathematics is vitally connected with research in pure mathematics.

What is an applied question?

An applied question is a question that seeks to solve a practical problem or address a real-world situation by applying knowledge or concepts from a particular field of study. These questions often require critical thinking and the ability to use theory in practical contexts.

What is the difference between a technical degree and academic degree?

A technical degree focuses on specialized skills and practical knowledge needed for specific careers, such as engineering or computer science. An academic degree is more broad and focuses on theoretical knowledge in various subjects, like history or literature. Technical degrees are often more hands-on and career-oriented, while academic degrees are more research-based and generally lead to a broader range of career options.

Difference between theory and practical knowledge?

Theory refers to the understanding of principles and concepts, while practical knowledge involves hands-on experience and application of those principles in real-world situations. Theory provides the foundation and framework for practical knowledge to be developed and applied effectively. Combining both theory and practical knowledge is essential for a well-rounded understanding and proficiency in any field.

What is applied knowledge mean?

Applied knowledge refers to the practical use of information or skills to solve real-world problems or to achieve specific goals. It involves taking what is learned and putting it into practice in a relevant context, leading to the application and implementation of knowledge in a meaningful way.

Compare pure physics from applied physics?

Pure physics focuses on the study of fundamental principles and laws governing the natural world, while applied physics involves using these principles to solve practical problems or develop new technologies. Pure physics aims to advance theoretical knowledge and understanding, while applied physics applies this knowledge to real-world applications in various fields such as engineering, material science, and biophysics.

Is sociology an applied theoretical or clinical field?

What is applied curriculum?

Applied curriculum refers to a curriculum that focuses on practical skills and knowledge that students can apply in real-world situations. It often incorporates hands-on learning experiences, projects, and activities to help students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and relevant job skills. Applied curriculum may also emphasize the integration of academic subjects with practical knowledge to prepare students for future success in their chosen fields.

Contrast pure science and applied science?

Pure science is focused on gaining knowledge for the sake of understanding concepts and principles, without any immediate practical application. Applied science, on the other hand, is concerned with using scientific knowledge to solve practical problems and develop technologies for specific purposes. While pure science is more theoretical and exploratory, applied science is more practical and result-oriented.

What the is difference between pure geology and applied geology?

Pure geology focuses on studying the Earth's processes and history, while applied geology uses geological knowledge to solve practical problems such as mineral exploration, environmental conservation, and natural hazard mitigation. Pure geology is more theoretical and academic, while applied geology is more practical and has direct real-world applications.

What si the application of scientific knowledge for practical processes?

Science can be applied for practical purposes by its nature of answering questions about the natural world, using logical inferences, evidence and hypotheses to obtain a theory and explanation. Science, in essence, is the leading system and method for obtaining our knowledge of the world.
