To construct a pentagonal pyramid, you need a pentagon as the base polygon. The pyramid is formed by connecting each vertex of the pentagon to a single apex point above the center of the pentagon. This creates five triangular faces, each formed by one edge of the pentagon and two segments connecting the apex to the endpoints of that edge. Thus, the basic polygons involved are one pentagon and five triangles.
A pentagonal pyramid is a three-dimensional shape with a pentagonal base and five triangular faces that converge at a single point called the apex. It has six vertices and ten edges. The pentagonal base provides stability and the triangular faces give the pyramid a pointed top.
A pentagonal is not a shape. You an have a pentagonal pyramid, a pentagonal prism or a pentagonal polyhedron as well as other shapes - each would give a different set of answers.
If side refers to 'face', then the pyramid would be a quadrilateral pyramid with 8 edges. If side refers to the base of the pyramid, it would be a pentagonal pyramid with 10 edges.
It would be called a pentagonal pyramid. If you need an example just look at this website: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentagonal_pyramid

A pentagonal pyramid has 5 triangular faces as well as a base. Depending on if you include the base or not it would have 5-6 faces.

The base would be a pentagon, while the faces would be triangles.
well actually it is a prism. If you mean a 5 sided pyramid with the 6 side being the bottom it would be called a Pentagonal Pyramid
A six sided cone is a pyramid technically, and it would be a hexagonal pyramid (if six sides does not include base) or a pentagonal pyramid (if including base.)
It would be called a pentagonal pyramid. If you need an example just look at this website: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentagonal_pyramid
