The multiplication table for 3 produces 3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24, and 27, etc. etc.The multiplication table for 9 produces9,18,27,36,45, etc.So you can see that the lowest number which you can find in both tables that the numbers 6 and 9 divide into is18, so that is the LCM of those two numbers.LCM means Lowest Common Multiple.
