Avoid GE refrigerators! I've had my stainless side by side for 2 years. 2 months ago the dispenser stopped working (bin still makes ice, but it won't give ice or water out of the door dispenser). Last month it started making a loud knocking sound. You can hear it across the house. Yesterday, we awoke to find both fridge and freezer warm inside. Do a Google search on GE refrigerators and find hundreds of people with the exact same complaints with different models of GE fridges. I'll be buying a different brand tomorrow!
