|\/**\/| |/\__/\| an irregular shape like the one poorly represented above. the top horizontal sides are parallel and the side vertical sides are also parallel, but there can be other non parallel sides like the \/'s an /\'s. depending on the situation this question is being asked for this answer might be adequate. hope this helped. p.s. the in the middle of the shape can be ignored because they are there only to hold shape (spaces didn't work) and the asterisks at the top should be a line (same reasoning) Any regular even-number sided polygon will have at least two pairs of parallel sides. A regular hexagon will have 3 pairs of parallel sides.
A square
A circle does not have any pairs of parallel sides. In geometry, parallel sides are defined as sides that are always the same distance apart and will never intersect. Since a circle is a curved shape with no straight sides, it does not have any pairs of parallel sides.

That would be a parallelogram, right.

If it has 2 pairs of parallel lines it is a parallelogram, if it is a quadrilateral. If there is not restrictions on the number of sides, then there are many answers
A Rhombus had 2 pairs of parallel sides and has NO right angles. :)
A square
A trapezoid is not a parallelogram. A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with at least one pair of parallel sides, while a parallelogram is a quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides. These two shapes have different properties and cannot be considered the same.
