Well, parallel lines are a pair of lines that could go on forever without intersecting. They could be going in the vertical direction or in the horizontal direction.
I'm going to list a few shapes;

I'm sure there are more, but those are the only ones I could think of at the top of my head.

Four parallel lines would not correspond to any of the commonly taught shapes. Two pairs of parallel lines would be characteristic of the square, rhombus, rectangle, and parallelogram
Right triangles have a set of perpendicular lines and no parallel lines.

Put 2 lines on the perpendicular sides and put 1 line for the parallel sides
Any polygon with four or more sides can have parallel lines. So also can some irregular shapes.
