No joke, grab with both hands and pull straight up, the knob just pops off
By pointing to either of the two clocks, you can speed it up, so that both clocks have two hands straight up (midnight) at almost exactly the same time. This will reveal the lantern in the fireplace below. (see related question)
In the bedroom are two mantle clocks, both with hands turning around. When both hands reach the top (12 o'clock), a skull pops up on a spring. The object is to get both skulls to pop up at exactly the same time. (The phone call says the clocks must strike midnight together.)Putting you mouse cursor over either of the clocks will speed it up. When you move the cursor away, it continues to run faster for a few seconds. By changing the speed for one or both clocks, you can eventually get them both to show 12 o'clock (both hands straight up) at almost exactly the same moment. When you do, a lantern appears in the fireplace.(see related question)
Use a dumb bell weight or a full gallon jug. Put one weight in both hands and put your hands straight up. (not one weight in each hand, one weight total, both hands on it) Then bend your elbows so your hands go behind your head. You need to keep your head up, neck and back straight and knees slightly bend with your feet about shoulder width apart. When you bend your elbows, your hands should go behind your head to the base of your neck. Then straighten your elbows and repeat. Hope this one works for you.

I am guessing you are talking about the two clocks in the Haunted House. Well, if you click on one, it slows that one down, as the opposite clocks goes faster. You have to make the little arm and the big arm on both clocks turn 12:00 (both hands straight up) at the SAME exact time. This can be tricky, but not impossible. Good Luck! ~emilyluvsya
The object is to make both clocks strike twelve midnight (both hands straight up) at the same time. The two skulls have to pop out within a second or two of each other. Holding the cursor over a clock will speed it up. Once you beat the clocks, the lantern will appear in the fireplace. Get fuel from the kerosene barrel in the basement.
