There are an infinite number of answers to this question as asked.

For example I could answer 984 * 1 = 984.

But I could also, for example, multiply the 984 by 2 if I also divide the 1 by 2 (or the other way round) and I would have two new numbers which when multiplied give 984.

They would be 1968 & 0.5. 1968 * 0.5 = 984. I could, for example, simply repeat this process endlessly.

However, if you are only interested in positive whole numbers then the answers are:

1 * 984

2 * 492

3 * 328

4 * 246

6 * 164

8 * 123

12 * 82 and

24 * 41

(All these numbers directly above are known as the factors of 984).
