So far, there is no unit of measurement available to weigh your height. So, I would not use kilometers, at all. Sorry.

Well, honey, you'd use good old inches or centimeters to measure a chair. Unless you're dealing with some giant throne, then maybe you'd break out the feet or meters. Just grab a tape measure and get to work, darlin'.
The unit of measurement of height in the US is based on the English units. The English unit generally used meter and kilograms while in the UK people generally used centimeters when referring to height measurement.
