Leibniz is well known for his development of calculus independently of Isaac newton. In the 20th century his Law of Continuity and Transcendental Law of Homogeneity were found to have mathematical implication and the binary number system was also refined thanks to him. Finally, he invented the Leibniz wheel which is used in the arithmometer.
Most of his contributions are to do with both science and mathematics, although he is most known for developing calculus.
Isaac Newton and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz
Sir Isaac Newton who was British and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz who was German are considered the inventors of calculus. Many others have contributed, but these were the MAIN guys!
Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz.
Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz made significant contributions to mathematics, including the invention of calculus independently of Isaac Newton. He developed the concept of infinitesimal calculus and introduced notations such as d/dx for differentiation and ∫ for integration. Leibniz also formulated important ideas in discrete mathematics and made advancements in the field of binary arithmetic, which laid the foundation for modern computer science.
I have been researching it and so far the results are leading to "Gottfried Wilhelm Von Leibniz"
