When a rifle is fired at a distant target the barrel is not lined up exactly on the target so why is it not lined up exactly on the target?

The misalignment occurs due to human error in aiming the rifle. It is challenging to align the barrel perfectly with the target at a distance, especially if shooting without the aid of a scope or sight. Factors such as wind, rifle stability, and shooter skill can also contribute to the misalignment.
