Remembrance is celebrated in the (British) Commonwealth. Observance usually includes a silence at 11am on November 11th, which is when the armistice was signed in 1918. Depending on the country, the silence can be either one or two minutes.

How to Celebrate Remembrance DayStep 1Buy a poppy. These can be bought everywhere from charity shops to people selling them on the street. All you have to do is leave a donation.Step 2Observe the two minutes of silence at 11am on the 11th November. This is officially one minute remembrance for each of the two wars. There are religious services held immediately after the silence, but remembrance is also held in work and at public places.Note that Remembrance Day is the name given to this observation in the UK. In the US, it is called Veterans' Day.
In the UK the Last Post is played. The beginning and ending of the two minute silence is also marked by the firing of a gun at the Horse Guards Parade.
