Dependent.
Independent
An event or events.
An Event is a set of outcomes in a given expirament say, were talking about independent events, that's when event a does NOT effect event b. where as if we were talking about dependent events event a DOES effect event b. Independent event example - A teacher draws a name out of a hat, then puts it back, then draws another name. dependent event example- a teacher draws a name and DOES NOT put it back. and chooses another.
When two events are disjoint (or mutually exclusive), it means that they cannot occur at the same time; if one event occurs, the other cannot. Consequently, disjoint events cannot be independent, because the occurrence of one event affects the probability of the other event occurring. In fact, for disjoint events, the probability of both events happening simultaneously is zero, which contradicts the definition of independence where the occurrence of one event does not influence the other. Therefore, disjoint events are not independent.
If the events are independent then you can multiply the individual probabilities. But if they are not, you have to use conditional probabilities.
Dependent events.
It means that there are a bunch of events happening in a certain orderlist how the events happened, in the sequence they happened in. What happened first, second, third and so forth.
Independence of the events.
Independent

The period between two successive events is called an interval. It represents the time duration between the start of one event and the start of the next event.
An athletic event consisting of 7 separate events is called a Septathalon.
