go to: gunsamerica.com or gunbroker.com look up Winchester rifles and look for model '73 and see what they are selling for.............
I'm not sure if you'll find it here (see related link) - if you'd given a model number, it would have helped. Anyway - check the web-site - see if your model is there.

Well, you have asked possibly two different questions here. Winchester originally marked the upper tang of the rifle "Model 1894" but that was phased out in the 1920's. The problem with identifying an EXACT serial number is that Winchester used both the old-style and new-style rollmark dies at the same time, and further did not necessarily assemble receivers in numerical order. So there is no way I know of to accurately answer that question, since you could find a receiver marked 'Model 94' with a lower serial number than one marked 'Model 1894.' If you are asking what is the serial number of the last Model 94 manufactured at the New Haven plant, I have not seen that information published anywhere. It also might be a difficult question, since there very well may be serial-numbered receivers that are as of yet unassembled which might transfer to the new owners (if they find a buyer). sales@countrygunsmith.net
