analytical geometry is extremely useful in solving the geometrical problems
It depends entirely on the problem. There are specific solutions to specific problems.
Egyptians used geometry to build all their large monuments, including the pyramids. They wrote down geometry problems on paper and solved them.
You can find the answers to the even-numbered problems in the back of the Glencoe Geometry textbook. The answers are usually located in the section designated for solutions or at the end of the chapter. If you can't find them in your edition, you may need to ask your teacher for assistance.

Geometry is very important because you practically see it everyday. Everything is geometry. Humans are geometry. planets are geometry. If you don't really understand how much geometry is used and important, then you should try to see somebody for geometry answers.
Descartes did not discover geometry - he invented analytical geometry, which enabled mathematicians to use algebra to solve problems in geometry and geometry to solve problems in algebra. The world would be less developed than now, as would be the case with most discoveries.
