Almost but not quite all of Kansas is in the Central time zone. In the western

part of the state, the counties of Sherman, Wallace, Greeley and Hamilton are

in the Mountain Time Zone.

Sherman is the northernmost of those four counties, and Route 36 is never less than

about 13 miles north of Sherman county. So the time doesn't change anywhere in Kansas

along Route 36, until you reach the Colorado state line, about 13.3 miles west of St. Francis KS.
