First of all, is your ruler graduating in cm/mm?

If it is then here it goes.....

You need to know that there are 100cm in 1m

so there are,

600cm in 6m

60cm in 0.6m

6cm in 0.06m

(every time I am dividing each side by 10)

So now you know that 6cm is equal to 0.06m so you can look at this on your ruler.

If you want it in mm, there are 10mm in 1cm

so if you know it is 6cm, there must be 60mm.

I hope this is what you wanted :)
