There is no square root button on a standard keyboard, but if you are bored, you can find out how to program a key and get one of the keys to be your square root key.

∙ 11y agoThere is probably no square root button on the laptop keyboard. Look around in the software on the computer for an application called " Calculator ". That will have a button on it to perform the square root operation, plus buttons for a lot of other operations too.
Press the square root button on your calculator.
To use the root button on a scientific calculator, first type the number you want to find the root of. Then, press the root button, which is usually denoted by a √ symbol. Finally, enter the index of the root, such as 2 for a square root or 3 for a cube root, and press equals (=) to get the result.
For right angled triangles it is the square root of square of side A added to square of side B (sorry i don't have a square sign on my keyboard) hypotenuse=square root of AxA+BxB

There is no single square root button on a keyboard. You can sometimes get the square root symbol by holding down alt and pressing 2 then 5 then 1 (or alt + 251). If that doesn't work, you could copy and paste it. √ (that square root sign is from pressing alt + 251)
Type in the number that you want to square root, then hit the √ button.
