This is a method used to make shotgun barrels in the 1800's and early 1900's. Wires or thin steel strips were wrapped around a mandrel and hammer-welded. Belgian laminated would be one of the least expensive types of laminated barrels.
You would use area. I would use the meter2. Okay
If I was you i would use millimetres or centimetres.
who would use the word "quadrant"
I would use a micrometer. A caliper would do as well.
Hollow rivets are assembled on a pin often called a mandrel. The mandrel is used to insert the hollow rivet into the workpiece before the ends are secured and the mandrel is removed.
A rod called a mandrel, the size of the bore, was placed in a clamp. Strips of iron or steel were heated in a forge, and wrapped and twisted around the mandrel. When the entire length of the mandrel was covered, the steel strips would be reheated, and hammered to weld them together. When completely welded, the mandrel would be removed. The outside of the barrel would be shaped by filing or grinding, usually in the shape of an octagon. The inside would be ground smooth, and if the firearm was to be a rifle, grooves would be cut inside the barrel with a rifling tool. The barrel would be fitted with a lock to fire the gun, and the barrel and lock secured to the stock.

Twisting steel around a mandrel
In order to find a single HS code for your mandrel, you must provide additional details. The more information you can provide, the easier it will be to determine the HS code.
Simply said, a mandrel is a tool used to shape machines. In mufflers, it is tubing usually made of steel used as a support when bending exhaust pipes. The main reason for this is to reduce the possibility of deformation as much as possible. The mandrel bends with the pipe stretching on the outside of the bend and compressing on the inside ensuring a constant diameter bend that reduces restrictions.

Helical springs are the typical, common, wound springs used in tension or compression. The term 'helical' comes from the spring being a helix- the wire is wound around a mandrel, advancing along the length of the mandrel as it is wound.
