a diameter is the length of a circle at its widest point. It's used in finding the circumference of a circle (the area around) by multiplying pi (3.1415926535897........ it goes on, as its infinite) by the diameter. a radius is half the diameter, or the center of the circle to any point on its circumference. If your still confused, the average diameter of an orange is about 4 inches, give or take.

I would use more yellow than red due to the fact that red is much darker and has a greater affect on the outcome than yellow does if they are equal. It also depends on how dark or light you want the orange to be - more red makes a darker orange and more yellow makes a lighter orange. Hopw this helps!
The average diameter of an orange is around 3 inches, which would give it a circumference of approximately 9-10 inches.

A pasta with a tiny orange taste to it & orange circle look to it
About 3 inches. Darling, that would be the diameter (across), not the circumference (around). A small (3" diameter) orange would be 9 1/2" around, a large (4" diameter) grapefruit would be nearly 12 1/2" around. For another reference, a 12" diameter softball is about 3.8" in diameter.
