speed = distance / time
600m/60s = 10m/s
60m/5s = 12m/s
So comparing the velocity you notice the fact that 12 m/s > 10 m/s..
You probably got confused by the face that hawk traveled the greater distance so it had the greater velocity, such is not the case, the point is how "fast" your travel.. (how far / how much time!)
