modem
Matlab has a built-in function called "demod" in the communications (signal processing) toolbox where you can specify 'fm' for frequency demodulation.
Fourier analysis is used in communication systems to analyze and process signals by decomposing them into their frequency components. This allows for the effective modulation and demodulation of signals, enabling clearer transmission over various media. Additionally, it aids in filtering out noise and optimizing bandwidth usage, improving the quality and efficiency of data transmission in applications such as radio, television, and digital communication.
The envelope of an Amplitude Modulated (AM) waveform represents the outline or contour that defines the varying amplitude of the carrier signal over time, reflecting the information signal's modulation. It typically appears as a smooth curve that follows the peaks of the modulated wave, indicating the instantaneous amplitude of the signal. The envelope can be visualized as the maximum and minimum amplitude levels of the AM wave, and it is crucial for demodulation in communication systems.
AM: amplitude modulation
It is a way to see differentences between items. Like: Cow is to barn as elephant is to zoo.
demodulation or detection.
MOdulation DEModulation.
modulation and demodulation
modulation and demodulation
its nothing but modulation and demodulation. modulation of the message is done in transmitter side and demodulation is done at receiver side and retrieving the original message.

Function Of Modem Is Modulation And Demodulation
Function Of Modem Is Modulation And Demodulation
MODEM modulation & demodulation .......
Demodulation is needed with modulation becoz modulation it is converting analog to digital signal n we can't understand digital. That's why we require digital to analog converter or demodulator.
Demodulation the opposite is Modulation And when you put them together you get MODEM Modulation/Demodulation = MODEM
In case of coherent demodulation carrier used for demodulation purpose is in phase and frequency synchronism with carrier used for modulation purpose. For non-coherent demodulation it is not in synchronism.
