The allied powers consisted of Great Britain, France, South Africa, Poland, Greece and China. After Japan attacked pearl harbor on December 7, 1941 the U.S. joined the war, with Canada on its side. Russia (the Soviet Union) was in a neutral state with an agreement to not engage in war with Germany but Germany betrayed that to become a world power and Russia ended up joining the allied forces as well.
