They are also meant to last a very long time without maintenance. What polygon has 8 stright sides and 1 curved side?

Polygons can't have curved sides so the answer is not a polygon.

Why is there a 2 in each part of the surface area formula for a rectangular prism?

For each side of a rectangular prism there is an opposite side that is identical in measurement. So there are two width sides, two length sides, and two height sides.

How do you find the side of a triangle with 3 sides?

First, a triangle, by definition, must have exactly 3 sides, so the last part of the question is pointless. Finding the length of a side depends on what information you do have: two sides and the included angle, one side and two angles, hypotenuse and an angle, hypotenuse and another side. Then there are some combinations involving the lengths of sides and medians or altitudes that will allow you to work out a missing side.

Why can't a triangle have parallel sides?

For two sides to be parallel they must not meet at a point (vertex). A triangle has only 3 sides. Let the vertices of a triangle be ABC; then the 3 sides of the triangle are AB, AC and BC. The sides AB and AC meet at vertex A, so they cannot be parallel. The sides AB and BC meet at vertex B, so they cannot be parallel. So Side AB is not parallel to AC (meets at vertex A) and not parallel to BC (meets at vertex B). The only possibility left is that side BC is parallel to side AC. But the sides BC and AC meet at vertex C so they cannot be parallel. Thus none of the sides of a triangle can be parallel.

What.. if the permimeter of a square is 1848 cm how long is one side of the square?

A square has 4 equal sides. The perimeter is made of those 4 sides. So 1848 cm divided by 4 is a side. 462 cm is the length of a side.

Are all sides of a parrellelogram parellel?

Opposite sides are parallel to each other. So every side is parallel to just one other side.

If two sides of square are placed side by side so they are touching what shape it will make?

The perimeter of a square is 24cm what is the length of one side?

Perimeter is merely the total of the sides. A square has four sides so in this instance each side is 6cm.

What is a side with more than 8 sides?

Sorry to answer a question with a question, but how can a side have more than 1 side? By a side you probably mean a line which is one dimensional, (only length) so if you added anymore sides it would become two dimensional. But you probably meant to say "shape" instead of "side" in which case there is a nonagon (9 sides) decagon (10 sides) hendecagon (11 sides) and a dodecagon (12 sides).

Polygons can't have curved sides so the answer is not a polygon.

What side is left on a car?

What would cause your navigator air suspension to only raise on the right side of the car and not the left side?

does both sides raise tho? if so and one side is higher than the other its because someone jacked your car up without turning off the air suspension switch, if this is so your going to have to take it to the dealer to get it calibrated from them. its pretty expensive from what i have herd.

What is the area of a square that has a perimeter of 24?

A square has 4 sides. Perimeter is the sum of its sides. So 24/4 = 6 cm (1 side). Area of square is (side*side)= 6*6 = 36cm2

How much sides does a bed have?

So let's say there is a bedframe with how many sides would you say it has? Well this is the way I see it there are 5 sides total. Side 1,2 (left and right) Side 3,4 (end of the bed frame and headboard) Side 5 ( the bottom of the bed frame) But I have seen some argue that there is 6 sides and we count the bottom of the 5th side if we do this however we should question why and do it for each other side making it look more like this Side 1,2,3,4 (left and right) Side 5,6,7,8 (end of the bed frame and headboard) Side 9,10 (bottom of bed frame) Furthermore if we break down the bed frame into smaller cubes/planes of woods which have six side each so if we look at it this way it has up to 30 sides. So that begs the question: does a bed have 30 sides?

Perimeter of a square with sides 13.4cm?

Square = 4 sides, side = 13.4 cm so perimeter = 4 x 13.4...

Why is it important to do the same things to both sides of an equation?

In an equation, the left side has the same value as the right side. The importance of doing the same thing to both sides is to keep the value of both sides the same so the equation does not change.
