An equilateral triangle can't be a right triangle since an equilateral triangle has all 60° angles, which are NOT right angles [measuring 90°]. If a triangle is a right triangle, then it has a right angle!

because its a right triangle

For a triangle to be equilateral, all angles and sides must be of a same length. Since the total of the angles of a triangle can only be up to 180, it is impossible for there to be three 90 degree angles, which equal to 270 degrees..
