The lines have to intersect because lines go on forever and if then are not parallel then they will collide. Even if they are not parallel by one degree they will still intersect.

Do nonparallel lines intersect at one point?

yes

What is true about nonparallel lines?

they intersect at some point

Are parallel skew?

No--skew lines are nonparallel lines that still do not intersect (in three dimensions or higher).

What is the symbol for nonparallel lines?

The symbol commonly used to denote nonparallel lines is "⫫" or sometimes simply "∥" with a slash through it. In mathematical notation, if line ( l ) is not parallel to line ( m ), it can be written as ( l \nparallel m ). This indicates that the lines will eventually intersect at some point.

Are skew lines parallel?

No. If they are parallel, then a plane exists which both lines lie in. Skew lines can not be on the same plane.

What is the name of an intersection of two nonparallel lines in a plane?

a point

Two lines intersect in a?

Two lines intersect at a point

What are two lines that don't intersect?

Parallel lines do not intersect.

What is the location called where two lines lines cross or intersect?

Two lines cross or intersect at a point.

What are two lines on the same plane that do not intersect?

Two lines that do not intersect on the same plane are Parallel lines.

Can two lines intersect twice?

No, two distinct lines in a plane can intersect at most once. If two lines intersect at two points, they would not be distinct but rather the same line. In three-dimensional space, two lines can be skew, meaning they do not intersect at all, or they can intersect at one point, but they cannot intersect at two points.

When two lines intersect at a point they form and what?

When two lines intersect they form an axes.
