Because when you do not add units to a number,your answer will be ordinary like for example,if your answer is 11cm,and,you did not put the units,which is cm.,then your answer will not be thought as a centimeter.Your answer will be thought as something else like if your answer is 11cm. and you did not put cm.,it will be thought like 11meters or 11cats.
