In most charts you must always label the axes.
The variables that you are plotting on the graph!
The horizontal axis would normally be the independent variable and the vertical axis would be the residual.
If you start the axes from any value other than zero make that very clear with large "lightning flashes" on the axes. Try not to, but sometimes it is unavoidable. If plotting the population of your town or city over time, it would make little sense to go back to year 0! Show the values opposite grid marks along the axes. Label the axes clearly with the variable plotted on it.
First, a coordinate. A coordinate is a number. It labels a point on a line.Second, a coordinate axis is a line with coordinates.to label a point in a plane (a flat surface), we need more than one coordinate axis, and we place a second at right angles to the first. Those axes are called rectangular coordinate axes, because they are at right angles to one another. The coordinates on them are called rectangular coordinates. They are also called Cartesian coordinates.

after creating your graph go to the layout tab, axis title then choose either horizontal or vertical axis

Well the three axes for an airplane are known as the vertical axes (which governs the yaw of the plane), the Longitudinal axes (govenrs the roll of the plane), at the lateral axes (govenrs the pitch)
C is for crosses, to mark out the points U is for units, the two axes need proper units T is for title, a title at the top of the page L is for Line of best fit, only use a ruler to join the axes in columns or column graphs A is for axes labeled, label the two axes such as date and time S is for scale, which has to be correct on both axes S is for size, it should take up more than half a page yay :D so glad I could help ... finding my old science book was to easy hope this wasn't too late :S
The plural for of the noun of the noun ax (or axe) is axes. The plural possessive form is axes'.example: All of the axes' blades have been sharpened.
