In the UK, 0300 telephone are exclusively assigned to public offices and non-profit organizations. Calling this number is not free it would cost the same as calling a standard landline (a number beginning with 01 or 02) anywhere you may be located across UK. However, 0300 numbers will make use of "inclusive" minutes in your calling plan, the same as 01 or 02 numbers.
0300 numbers were introduced by Ofcom as a non-geographic alternative to chargeable 08 numbers such as 0870. Calls to 03 numbers cost the same as calls to standard geographic numbers (i.e. those beginning 01 or 02).Unlike any other non geographic number range, calls to 03 numbers must also be included in any inclusive call minute packages or discount schemes offered by fixed and mobile network operators and from payphones.
It depends - on whether you're calling from a fixed line or mobile. From a fixed line, it's the same cost as a local rate call. From mobiles - it depends whether your price plan includes 03 numbers (not all do). If you pay for 03 numbers, the cost will be whatever your network charges. Contact them for clearer information.
If you mean you want to use an 0300 number for your business... contact either British Telecom or your service provider.
