Not sure what is a squed number.

For any number, X, there is a number, Y, (usually diffierent from X) such that X = Y2. In this respect, any number is a squared number. This is true even if X is negative, although in basic mathematics you are taught that it cannot be. You need to go into the field of complex numbers.

However, 8 is not a perfect square.

So the question is either pointless or incorrect.
